"CD-I" was an ancient console developped by Philipps.

Long story short, it sucked. DIdn't have enough ressources to display games in a decent way.

There were two pretty famous games for that console, "Faces of Evil" and "Wand of Gamelon". Their gameplay was frustrating and the hand-drawn cutscenes a joke. However, they became YouTube-famous and people have been making parodies of them ever since.

Hope that explained it a bit.

yeah, I remember that now. I remember playing "Dragon's Lair" or something similar in Circuit City or whatever we had back then. Sucked major balls.
