I'm not sure why, but black people using improper grammar is hilarious to me; it's even funnier if you read it in your head in a ghetto accent.

I with ghetto kids would stop pretending that only white people speak in proper English and that learning proper English is some racist scheme.

I've seriously heard a kid argue this point. There are a lot of people out there that consider proper English racist.

I wanted to punch you in the face until I realised you didn't mean it.

Who in their right mind would think that proper English is racist?

Well you've obviously met some.

They're ghetto kids. They don't count because they're not in their right mind.

The vast majority of them belittle education, demonize the establishment, and believe that they will one day become rap stars or professional athletes and get out of the ghetto rather than just working their way up. That same mentality has been lived over and over again by these people in the past few generations and hardly a fraction of these dreams actually work out. That's insanity defined by Einstein. Trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results. The sad part is that you hardly hear about the people who actually worked their way out of the ghetto rather than making a lucky break.

I suppose, but that's really their fault. They just don't have enough strength and determination to get out of their frame of mind and to improve themselves. I mean they could still have their dreams of being rap "stars" or "empowered" women of colour that flaunt their bodies to get money, as long as they're not being dickheads.

They have no excuse. There's a good number of kids with minimum financial means that work their way into affluence. But, hey; if every poor kid suddenly wanted to make something of themselves, there'd be nobody at the bottom. Someone always has to lose, unfortunately.
Nothing against them, I'm sure they're all very nice people, but that's just the way the world works.
And like you said, they're free to dream however they want.

No, there are not "a lot" of people that consider proper English to be racist.

Okay, there's a handful, but that's still depressing to see.

I've never seen it, but I'll take your word for it.

It may just be their parents telling them that or something.

I'm sure it won't spread because almost everyone who works their way up in life speaks intelligently.

The key word being "almost" everyone :p

Therein lies my despair.

I laughed pretty much during every mission in GTA V that contained Lamar, I love that guy. That whole game was hilarious, and the subtle humor is even better

It is even funnier if you think of it in those computer generated voices.

I'm used to hearing it because of where I live so it's always hilarious
