My parents were careful not to swear around me or my siblings while we were young, now I'm 22 they let their swears out but I still can't bring myself to swear with them, or any member of my family for that matter. I feel like its disrespectful or something? Yet I have a sailor's mouth when chatting with mates or colleagues.

TL;DR I find it easy to not swear when I need to not swear.

Same, I swear a bunch, and I swear a lot with my friends over headset and I'm sure my parents hear me, yet I won't swear when we are talking

This. It is kinda awkward sometimes. Because my family actually think I never swear.

My family swore around me sometimes, but tried not to for the most part. And of course me swearing was a huge no no, so I never did it. I'm 21 years old and I still don't swear around my adult family members. It just feels weird.

Pony regardless, the "popcorn is activate" made me chuckle for some reason.

Working at a summer camp, I developed the "camp switch" in my brain. it's a little switch that turns swearing on and off automatically based on where I am. It comes in handy a lot.

Now this might just be my Danish heritage and upbringing, but I don't give a **** about swearing and neither did our media until the American censorship came creeping in. Sure some parents wants to avoid their kids listening to too many swears and kids shows don't do it much, but ******* whatever. Maybe if you raise your kids properly they won't go around swearing needlessly.

I have no filter, so I usually swear like a sailor in all situations, usually very appropriately though, and only when necessary, like if I'm trying to stress something.
