attempted gun control, constant surveillance and recording of citizens based on the grounds of "turrurism," not recognizing gay marriage because "du bible," using tax payer's money for personal **** like multi-million dollar vacations, giving yourself a raise while deciding to keep minimum wage at not even a livable level, allowing the sale of alcohol and tobacco products but making weed illegal because "drugz iz bad," allowing banks to give out loans to people who never had the ability to pay the money back, conducting military operations in foreign lands without the approval of your peers, and finally lets not forget:

sending pictures of your penis to underage girls.

Shutting down the entire government over a petty squabble, for one thing.
Monitoring its citizens as if we were cattle.
Trying to take away constitutional rights, and succeeding.

Using the peoples money on vacations and luxurious cars.

Deciding that they all need a raise at the same time.

Wanna use 10 million on expanding their offices instead of cleaning up.

Theres a lot more sadly.. Denmark is one ****** up place...

I'm not American but I'm pretty sure the attempted SOPA act plus the NSA are two pretty big reasons, though SOPA didn't pass through the two are two pretty big invasions of privacy.

Man if that **** happened here I'd be pretty pissed off too.

- Can't properly balance expenditure versus income, resulting in legendary debt
- Claim that the above statement doesn't mean that they have a 'spending' problem
- Create half-baked programs that cost more money and don't even do what they were supposed to
- Make everything they do 10x more expensive than if it wasn't done by them, since they aren't given a budget, but an unlimited pool that gives them more money if they actually delay work
- Instead of answering these dilemmas, distract the populace with unrelated social issues
- Congressmen have been allowed to insider trade, double-dip, and get away with crimes that should give them +20 years in federal jail, yet get away with it without even a threat of having to mention such situations

Should I continue?

$30,000 sound like a reasonable wadge to live in chicago for a year to everyone? of course it does now IL minimum wadge is 8.25/hr. so if you work 2 full time jobs (80 hours a week) and don't take a vacation (so 52 weeks in a year) you will make $34,320 before taxes! so become a slave and you might just make an average living.

but you say "silverzepher, yoou know the minimum wagde is enough to live on if you live with someone else"

oh yes, what a good idea, tie yourself to someone else so you can both avoid being poor at the same time. but let's say you didn't want to live with someone else, or work 80 hours a week. let's say you just worked a full time job. $17,160 would be the wadge before taxes, now i don't live in the best neighborhood but it isn't scum living either. a one bedroom apartment runs an average of $500(Scummy side of town)-$850(nicer side) per month. so you would need between $6000-10200 a year, but lets go back to monthly, $1320 is what you make a month, so you can live in scum town and have 820 for food, internet, grooming supplies, etc a month, or you could live in the good area with only $470 and still have to pay for food, internet and other supplies.

Not trying to start a ********* , but I feel the need the reply:

1. Criminal Record:
Most offenses, such as misdemeanors, would not stop a person from getting a lets say $10 an hour job. Felons will for sure have a harder time, but they made their choice.

2. Work Load:
Saying work load is too heavy is a cop out. plain and simple. I work 40+ hours a week and go to school full time (18 credit hours) on campus and maintain good grades as well as still having plenty of free time to indulge myself in my hobbies.

3. Experience:
I will give you that one, its hard to find a job that pays above minimum wage without any experience, but having a minimum wage job gives you that experience.

I live in Indy, Indiana where the minimum wage is $7.25 an hour. I worked at wal-mart making this for two years while being out on my own, renting an apartment for $625 a month, still able to pay for all of my necessary food, internet the most important thing , grooming supplies, and random **** . I have since moved on up in life and make around 35K a year while pursuing a degree. It is possible if you are willing to buckle down and forego the little things and get smart about your expenses.

I feel that the episode of South Park covering the NSA made a pretty good argument in the government's favor

Though i do get sick of hearing "omg the debt!! our government is going to shutdown!" though I doubt it is an immediate critical mass type of problem, the national dept is pretty high... we could do with some revenue.

The ******* $17 trillion debt for one thing, the NSA, SOPA, getting rid of NASA's funding, and some things that may happen in the future, too, such as getting too involved in the Russia vs. Ukraine and pissing off the Russians. Those are just a couple of reasons, too.
