When I was a kid, nobody told me that I had to close my eyes to go to sleep. I thought you were supposed to let them close on your own. I would just lay there for an hour or so, or until I became so exhausted that my eyelids closed of their own volition. It was a lot easier as a kid, because I needed more sleep back then, so it usually took me about an hour or so to fall asleep.

I sleep late around 1 or sometimes 3 in the morning. I lie in bed but I still just have to much mental activity to go to sleep, it nulls slower I suppose. I read that smart people do that, even though it is a retarded habit of mine. But could i have Insomnia. Could I have just created a coping mechanism to sleep late by using smart people sleep late, and I'm just normal. I dont know, but it keeps me up at night,

used to have some mild insomnia but it went away. it's weird when you try and go to sleep but physically can't. and after 3 days of no sleep you finally can but only through some form of medication it makes for 						******					 sleep. and your mind can go 						*******					 crazy too. there are times when i would black out but "wake up" in a different place. one time i came too and i had built a house of cards   
   
now it's still hard to get to bed, but with black out curtains and white noise i can do it without medication

I had trouble going to sleep every time i went to sleep it was lucid and i did not understand that

so i got scared that i would fall asleep die and live in the world i was creating during this time i was also coming to terms with what Death was so it was stressful as hell
Then my doctor after having sleep deprivation for a week explained Lucid dreaming from then on every night i walk the dreamers tale
it became a game for me how am i going to die tonight? will every one be racist? friendly? Cristian? will magic be in this world?

Seriously, if you want to have a good night of sleep.
Just inject a bunch of morphine, the nod is real nice and you'll feel like you're on a cloud.
Be careful that you don't overdose because it is easy.

I finally found the cure to my insomnia:

Turn on netflix late at night and sit on the couch. Within 15 minutes I'm asleep.

I have the problem of feeling sleepy but when i finally get to my bed and lay down to sleep my mind keeps racing and doesn't stop. half the time i just close my eyes and try to think of just plain black, usually helps a tad.. It usually takes me about 1-2 hours to fall asleep after laying in my bed.. Is that a form of insomnia, Going by comment #3, i do have weird sleeping habits.. So that's a possibility? or what?

A few years ago I had it really badly but that was because there was some **** going doing at home. Now that I am older it is more my ritme (I work in a bar, so my shifts always start at midnight). But I remember how ****** up it is to stay awake when you want to sleep... take my green thumb and go
