Are you living near a college?

From Wikipedia:

Some of Vector Marketing's former independent contractors have accused Vector Marketing of unsavory business practices and some even say that Vector Marketing is a pyramid scheme. Vector frequently advertises in newspapers and on fliers posted on bulletin boards at college campuses, but seldom do those advertisements explain the nature of the job. In addition to vague job descriptions, Vector Marketing's compensation policies are often criticized. Vector Marketing previously required sales representatives to make a refundable security deposit to procure a set of knives for demonstrations.

I'll go ahead and write up a big explanation, because I work there.

Vector Marketing is not a scam, as the closet dwelling vloggers make it out to be. It is hard, upfront sales work where you need to follow their program and be willing to go out of you're comfort zone with people in order to sell them a product.

The knives they sell are very well made and are worth the money, especially when compared to competing brands like Wustof and Shun.

If you don't like being a salesman, don't do it.

No, intense bodylove Vector right in the ass. I used to have people contact me weekly through text saying that I was recommended by someone I haven't talked to or seen since middle school. No matter how much I tell them to intense bodylove off, it was the same god damn thing each week.

About a year ago they called me and wanted to set up an interview. Being so pissed off at these female amusement-systems I played along and set up a date and time. I never showed up.

They haven't contacted me since.

I showed up for one of their interviews (The office was in the ghetto, black people everywhere super run down office 1st 3 floors were apartments) and they left me in the waiting room for 2 hours past the appointment they scheduled. They told me to dress appropriately for the interview, everyone else there was wearing beach clothes (who thought flip flops and knives were a god idea?). Decide to walk out on them and some guy in a suit calls me into his office. Turns out he is the 'district manager' of something. No way, he looked like 19-23 and had tons of acne. Lay into him about his employees goofing off and not working the entire time, tell him how unprofessional it is to make someone sit around 2 hours past the time that you appointed. HE GETS PISSED. Asks why he needs to show me the best side of his company. "maybe because I'll be the one selling you're product?" #REKT He starts to curse me out. I get up and walk out. He is still cursing at me. Walk past everyone. Still cursing. Everyone gets real quiet. Keep walking. Still cursing. Get to the parking lot and ask some random black dude for a lighter and burned the application in front of the still yelling boss man. Throw flaming application on the ground give lighter back and walk away. MFW I walked away. And that's the story about how I got cursed out by the 'district manager' of Vector.

These parasites were outside of the church after my high school graduation handing out fliers to everyone they saw in a cap and gown. I was even called by them a few weeks ago because one of my classmates that I graduated with went through my facebook to get my number so they could contact me. $17/hr my ass.
