Anyone else have this experience?
So I am a Canadian currently studying abroad in the UK. My home sickness has been pretty minimal, since I still talk to people from home, and it's only for a year.
Today on facebook there were a number of posts by TSN on my feed about the World Juniors (hockey). I have never really played hockey, because my ankles are too weak to skate for very long. But I grew up in the arena watching my brother play, and if a game was on TV we were watching.
I'm now missing home not because I miss my family, my friends, my pets, my bed, but because I'm missing the hockey games.
I never realized how Canadian I was until I came here.
Seriously, they're complaining about how cold it is, and it hasn't even gone below zero.
