I like anime, but I say that when i dont even watch anime anymore. I might watch a series here and there if its interesting, but thatd be watching an entire series in a few goes per 4 months. I tend to read manga now on my ipad on the way to uni or something. So i cant really say i love anime, but i like it enough that id spend time on manga. Having said that I started Berserk this week and am currently on chapter 290 just because ive had so much free time lately. Holy crap its so good, but it really makes you think about mortality. Does anyone recommend anything else? Ive caught up in Bleach and Akuma to Love Song, im a bit behind in Shokugeki no Soma and attack on titan. I'll pretty much read anything as long as its interesting and at least somewhat drawn well.
If you want a romance with ****** up feels read Koe no Katachi.
If you want one of the greatest thrillers I've ever read then go for Monster.
If you want to be depressed then read Welcome to the NHK (better watch the anime first - manga is heavier), Oyasumi PunPun, and Tatami Galaxy (this one is an anime, tho - recommended for when you're done with NHK).
For amazing comedy (subjective) read Beelzebub (my #1 manga) and Cromartie High School.
As someone has already said, The Breaker and its sequel are also pretty good. But, if you want a heavier story with an actual emphasis on real fighting then, Holyland is amazing.
And, finally, for a mystery with tons of action, I recommend Psyren, Claymore, and Tokyo Ghoul (this one is the best of the three).

i really enjoyed both The Breaker and The Breaker : New Waves although they are Manhwas, both of which have been completed. Other than Fairy Tale and OPM i don't really read anything other than Romance mango like Nisekoi/Yamada-Kun to 7-nin no Majo. all of them i recommend to read if you're really looking for Mangas to read.
