As far as the argument of subbed or dubbed goes, it really just depends on the quality of the dub. There are some shows that I just cant stand the dub for, and others are goddamn works of art. Examples of dubs done right would be: Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Gurren Lagann, The Devil is a Part-Timer!, or Death Note. Examples of ******* terribly dubbed anime would be: Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, or basically anything with Bryce Papenbrook in it.

As in the content, the pronunciations are off, but aside from that, I took a look at it, and man did they **** up the English dub. The way the dialogue is handled is.....weird. Like, when a sentence is said, the oddest choice of words are emphasized, and the VA just aren't matching in their speech with the personality of their character in general, or at least at the time. A prime example of this being any time Mikasa opens her mouth.

I thought the dub for Hellsing, Cowboy Bebop, Redline, and Black Lagoon were spectacular, but if I were to recommend AoT to someone, I would highly suggest watching it subbed.

Well that would make sense but we're talking about making money, so taking shortcuts is a thing. They really could tweak the mouth movements to have a better fitting script too but the only show I recall that I believe did that was GitS: SAC. That said SnK's anime budget in general could have been higher - they skimped a ******* on the non-action scenes

I have to say, after being away from anime for about 6 months, it feels good. It was weird, when you were in it you just needed more and more, but once you are away, it just doesn't look interesting anymore. Which is a shame since I really did used to love it, with Redline being one of my most loved movies.

ok so i watched every released episode of AoT about a year ago (they've probably added more by now, I haven't seen any of those) and the whole thing seemed like **** to me

like even when exciting things were going on, it still managed to be boring and uneventful....

is it worth trying to watch the new ones? it seems to be pretty popular on the internet, but idk, i didnt see the appeal

Some dubs are fine great, but 95% of the time, I still prefer subs to dubs for two reasons.

There are many anime that simply don't get an official dub, and I'm not going to miss out on them just because they're in Nihongo.

And the main reason is that a sub will always release before a dub. If it's something I'm interested in watching, I'm not going to wait on a studio to **** out a barely acceptable dub.

I watch sub because sometimes the dub gays it up. Dubs can lose curse words, sexual innuendos, and aot titan yell is way different. Look that Chet up

You could kind of say the same for some subs. There's a few out there that really **** it up.

I normally go for HorribleSubs, FedSubs/FFF, and Coalgirls inb4 bloat , and I try to totally avoid Commie and Coalguys.

True, but they don't use Commie subs as much as Coalguys does. The subs they choose are generally better quality, but their re-encoding does tend to bloat up the files.

I usually watch dub for the little anime I do watch, but if I'm exposed to the sub first I can't go back. I can't remember which one it was, but I saw about a half season of some anime in sub and I switched to dub and couldn't stomach the voice acting
