An Arm and a Leg
Another story of my D&D campaign
I'm only posting the funny things that happen, so the stories will be a bit broken.
We're still low leveled, most of us being level 3 or 4.
Since my 1-damage critical, we won the battle and encountered a resistance group.
This was immediately after defeating the halberd man and his dozen-or-so friends.
Rather than attack us, the resistance asked for our help.
We agreed to help them, and they transported us to their guild, a sunken mansion.
>The party is resting in the resistance guild
>Our Paladin, Stewart, has an errand to run in the town
>Stewart is from the deep south and has a banjo
>He also has a 22 in strength and a dwarven axe
>The banjo is enchanted to passively raise his skill with it
>He wants to have it enchanted to be able to use Color Spray once per day
>Myself and 2 other party members decide to accompany him
>Leiff, a warforged duskblade, June, an elven monk-wizard, and myself, a human rogue
>A resistance wizard disguises us before we leave the guild, for safety
>In the town, we find a wizard named Wilson
>Stewart asks him the price to enchant his banjo
>Wilson says it will cost around 6,000 gp
>Our warforged, Leiff, jokes that it costs an arm and a leg
>Wilson remarks that he will accept an arm and a leg as payment
>Leiff notes that he does have a powerful regeneration potion
>Stewart takes the offer since he can regrow the limbs by using Leiff's potion
>Before Wilson can even reply, Stewart pulls out his axe
>He swings it into his own shoulder, severing his arm
>Wilson jumps back in surprise as Stewart begins to hand him the detached arm
>Stewart uses a quick healing action and raises his axe again
>He slices his leg off and falls to the floor
>Stewart heals himself again but he can barely move and is bleeding, profusely
>Wilson begins using magic to clean up the puddles of Stewart's blood
>He has Leiff carry Stewart into the back room of the shop
>There is a proper facility for using magic to remove the needed body parts
>It was here the entire time, and Stewart just cut off his own limbs
>"Well, you chopped your arm off without warning. I thought I should let you finish."
