Whatever the specific job you do is, you respond to terror and help keep us safe. I just want to thank you because it's you and your co-workers that I'm trusting for when I have my own family to love. I just couldn't imagine what I'd do if my girlfriend went to work one day and never came back because someone decided her life wasn't as important as their ideals. So again, thank you.

At one point I wanted to be a marine, but decided I actually want to be a biotech engineer. Both of my parents are navy, and my mom was a marine before that. My brother is going into the navy as well. I have a lot of respect for the military, thank you for your courage and sacrifice.

Understood. Haha, I'm in my senior year of high school, so I'm still hoping i can do something that cool too (I realize I made it sound like I am a biotech engineer as of now). Good luck with your degree. I wish you the best, sir.

I'm planning on doing the civilian route, but I'm looking at some of the opportunities the navy or marines can provide and seeing which of the three best suits me.
