Someone put a lot of time and effort into creating a comic that would send a message that he felt needed to be shared.
And I ****** it up with two minutes in MSPaint.
The digital age is truly amazing.

How much of a wimpy edgy faggot do you have to be to feel profoundly threatened by a bunch of billboards?

if people can be cyber bullied, surely people can be billboard bullied.

Source is Banksy. The words in that order, not the comic.

oh god the edges - edges ******* everywhere
1. if you don't want to buy something - just don't buy it
2. if some other people want to do/buy something - ******* let them
3. advertiser aren't inherently bad people who go to secret meetings where they laugh at you and try to make the world a miserable loveless place - they are normal people doing their job
4. don't read Atlas Shrugged/Brave New World that late at night...
Seriously guys...

I ******* hate this entitled **** .
They never asked for your permission because they don't ******* need to. It is not your property they are advertising on. If you are going to go out of your way to ruin the advertisement they spent money on, then you are a piece of **** .
#36 - John Cena (07/25/2014) [-]
yeah...... you realize that vandalism is factored into the expense estimates of advertisers?

the corporate fat cats you think you are sticking it to have already calculated your fake rebellion into their cost of doing business. sorry Banksy, you're not changing the world you're just another artist who thinks the world is ****** because people don't "get it" like you do.
User avatar #64 to #36 - samxdaxman (07/25/2014) [-]
Considering Banksy's work is now worth so much, whenever he draws something on the side of a building(on someone else's property), couldn't the people who own that building just charge people to get pictures with it or whatever? So really he's helping them.

If it helps, it said something to the effect of "You Don't Owe Them Anything"
Which, it turns out, is the exact reason why advertising exists.

this was a decent comic up to the end.

The original is lower in the comments.

Honestly it's a 2edgy4u comic anyway, stupid message. Words have no power if you don't give it to them. Saying people owe you for using freedom of speech is retarded.
User avatar #21 to #19 - dabronydude (07/24/2014) [-]
every single god damn comic that tries to put some kind of message across gets called
gay or stupid or edgy, i get it what it trying to say even if it says it badly.

how about,
"i hate seeing the dozens of ads a day which do nothing but tell you that you are ugly and
stupid and unattractive so buy this **** "
take the comic anyway you want.

Now do the original comic this author made where he says any constructive criticism is hate speech. You know exactly where to put the dickbutt.

Sure, I got 5 minutes.
You got a link to it?
User avatar #31 to #30 - lorddarkskull (07/25/2014) [-]
It's a multi part, so it might be difficult to post it as content
But yeah, all criticism is hate speech according to him

No one can force you to feel a certain way about yourself. Your feelings are the product of your own mind. Fear is a choice. Therefore, the fear of inadequacy is also a choice. You can choose whether or not to let yourself be affected by advertisements. If you feel inadequate about your weight/looks/etc. this is because deep down, you were already unhappy with yourself. Take responsibility for your own feelings and stop blaming the world for your insecurity. Just because you don't agree with someone's opinion of a perfect whatever, it does not give you the right to silence them, no matter how many advertisers promote this idea of perfection. The beauty of a principle is that there are no conditionals. You either believe people are free to promote their product/business/etc. or you don't. The amount of advertising is irrelevant. You cannot be forced to feel a certain way, so no rights of yours are being infringed upon in any way, shape or form.
#47 to #40 - John Cena (07/25/2014) [-]
you're an idiot
#54 to #40 - pineapplepeople (07/25/2014) [-]
If there was someone who since the day you could read shouted in your face "you are worthless", it would have an effect on how you live, and I'm willing to bet it wouldn't be a positive one. Advertisements can have a similar (not identical) effect. We do not live our lives in a vacuum, and believing that others do not have the power to affect us is foolish.

I ******* hate this comic (the original one, that is)

If you force your anti-corporation views on other people by vandalizing public space, you are no different from the corporations that force their views on you.

If you want people the world to change, make a ******* blog post or write a book or something, but don't shove your views down other peoples throats like a massive faggot. Just man the **** up if you feel sexually threatened by some muscly guy on an advert.

I hate people shoving stuff down my throat so I'm going to shove stuff down everyone elses throats!
User avatar #57 to #55 - flemsdfer (07/25/2014) [-]
He didn't like someone shoving ads in his face. Writing a blog won't make that go away. He made it go away. I'd say the man knows what he wants and how to get it done. Is it good for everyone? No, He vandalized a billboard. I can definitely sympathise with why he'd do it though.
User avatar #58 to #57 - alleksi ONLINE (07/25/2014) [-]
In the original the guy writes out "You don't owe them anything".

He is doing the exact same thing to the public as what the ads were doing to him. Telling people to believe something just because it's written on the side of the wall. Which makes him a hypocritical dickhead.
User avatar #59 to #58 - flemsdfer (07/25/2014) [-]
I know it's hypocritical. I'm just saying he was tired of seeing it, so he changed it to something he wanted to see. Like I said, he has a problem with something and he went and did something about it. So I understand why he did it. I don't see it as having some message. He simply hated it, so he got rid of it.
