I take less issue with the quality degradation than I do the loss of utility. I cannot begin to count how many times I've found a really good show or anime by doing a reverse image search on a single frame of some random gif I found on this site. Now I have to save the webm that was originally a gif and then manually convert it BACK into a gif so I can open in it my browser and do a search.
Yeah, man, that also sucks ass. I used to hunt up sauce for shows and stuff by myself but ever since this whole fiasco started up, all I've done is ask for sauce because I couldn't be bothered to do all that **** .
And, also, the webms take longer than gifs to load for me. Sometimes they don't even load at all and then I have manually make them load.
I can't ******* use them, I don't name any of my files, there are too ******* many, and I can't see what file is which because it shows up as the program that opens them, it's stupid and i hate it
Wish there was an extension I could download that would automatically change webms that don't have sound back into gifs. As it is I feel like I just saw the last living bigfoot get cut down by an army of starving North Koreans.
Yeesss, thank you man, I was wracking my brain for that one, if it was the original over intentionally cheesy MIDI I might have gotten it.
Thumb and cat for your efforts
Had to think for a bit as well.
At first I really thought it was the tune from Pikmin when you get a ship part, has the same kind of feel to it: youtu.be/TYxcIh7CRD8?t=387
Now if you'll excuse me, I have the sudden urge to listen to some game soundtracks..
Could have been the same people who worked on it! I don't know what big names were on the Paper Mario and Pikmin music staff.
If you're looking for good game music, I recommend checking out Undertale, it's my favorite soundtrack to be released in a long time. It borrows sounds from all eras of retro gaming. it's so ******* good
