African-American is in fact more racist then black for these reasons.

Black and white can be used on every person from every country, while African-American is limited to America, that's not so bad, is it?
Well, what if a black person goes to America? He would instantly become African-American, which is wrong.

And how is it for black Europeans, are they black or African-Europeans?

And how about Africans, are they African-African? No that's just silly, they're just African right? But how about white Africans? Wouldn't it be racist when a white and a black person are standing in Africa and one is white and the other is African even though both are African?

Black and white are equal. Both gets a color instead of one getting a special name.

If they changed from black to African-American, then why didn't they change white to European-American? That would be equality.

So to summon it up. African-American is far more racist then black, as it treats black people different.

its what is posed on all the census forms etc i have seen, so i would believe it to be the technically correct term. as for general usage, i wouldn't know since the idea of human interaction disgusts me.
