Araki is a bastard for creating him and Diavolo that way , Jesus Christ why not give them a boobjob while you're at it?!? also is it me or did Josuke turn gay at the end of the series?!?
pls no spoilers , daddy's waitin' for the Diamondu animu baby
acculy, it is impossible to kill you because you are moving the same speed as the cellphone, it would be the same as dropping a phone on your face while lying in bed.
But if you dropped it, it could most likely kill a standby.
Sources: i have no idea about these things i'm just twelve
The Goliath at Great America has a top speed of 72mph. I assume if someone were to drop their phone at the apex of a loop (though I don't think Goliath has any loops) and it fell and hit someone as they were descending, I think it would cause some damage.
But, like you, I have no idea. Just a very... somewhat educated guess.
You wouldn't be going 0 miles an hour at the apex of the loop. The phone would continue traveling forward if you dropped it. It also has conserved angular momentum. It could fall off the roller coaster and hit someone on the floor, yeah. But it's not gonna kill someone on board the coaster.

Only for blunt damage. For piercing damage density and sharpness is everything and smaller is often better as it can strike critical points easier such as eyes.
Let's say that just the corner hit the eye directly while the person is travelling at 72 mph and the phone is at, oh, I don't know... how long does it take an iOS6 to reach terminal velocity?
I'm legitimately interested. If you don't I'll just have Chuck do it when he gets home tonight. He has a degree in Calculus. Want me to tell you what he says?
**dorg used "*roll picture*"** **dorg rolled image** Do whatever you want even though I have no idea who the **** chuck is. I know my physics even though it is not my area of expertise ;) Computer Engineer with software specialisation even though I am pretty good at hardware as well.
I am not even sure what you want me to calculate. The pressure and force generated by a iPhone6S when falling from a loop in a roller coaster on a eye? Should go fast, provided I find some good data on roller coasters. Some simplifications can be done, such as when calculating the air resistance to simply use a cuboid. Finding the air resistance properties of a iPhone6s seems like a hard google quest.
Also dropping a phone will have some effect as the air resistance will slow it down compared to the roller coaster making it a projectile, even though not a fast one unless it is when the coaster goes up as then we would get the effect of gravity as well.
The third case is someone dropping a phone on another cart below.
(I swear, I will roll another bloody pony....)
I will do it tomorrow, I am tired as **** atm. If I don't I probably simply did not have the time to do it or forgot. Bump this comment if I forget and you are still interested.

Chuck is chuck. That's his name on FJ. He's also my fiance.
But I assume you could calculate wind resistance at terminal velocity if you were given the dimensions of the iPhone, no? I suppose even then it'd be kinda hard to calculate the force in which it hit...
Dude, physics is hard. I'll definitely remind you on the morrow, my friend.
I will reschedule it until tomorrow, I am tired as **** today. Just walked pretty damn far and have been away for ~15h. Also, shamelessly stole this image from google.
Regarding dimensions, if you calculate it as a cuboid that is decently easy. If you however calculate it based on its true form that is a bit harder.
Calculating everything is totally doable. Terminal velocity however is not really relevant unless you drop the phone from extreme heights. Calculating the impact force is what is relevant and is what I plan to do. I could however calculate terminal velocity if you want, idc.
Not my image. Although gif's were actually meant to be used for still images just as well as animated. It just is very bad for both but for a long time it was the only widely supported animated format. APNG as an example is way better but barely supported. Luckily, we have webm now that replaces animated gif.
Dude, you're assuming that the phone, if held perpendicular to the direction of travel, wouldn't just catch the "wind" (which is from the rollercoaster's point of view) and fly back behind you? That's like saying if you spit directly in front of you on a roller coaster, you wouldn't get spit on you.
It all depends on the air resistance on the phone at different times, and I guess it also depends on how long the phone stays in it's perpendicular orientation before flipping into a fashion that could hit someone and fly into their skull. Very unlikely, as the distance between two rollercoaster cars might not be enough for the phone to accelerate (relative to the rollercoaster car) to result in a high enough of a velocity to kill.
With a phone, probably not. Wind resistance wouldn't be a too much on something that small, but it would still hurt a ton. I thumbed up simply because your source was funny.
Im not too sure which is worse; to be killed by a fast moving Iphone or to be trapped on the Roller Coaster with someone who just got killed by a fast moving Iphone.....
