A recent overview (made by some prof on some university) of the 12 biggest religion-driven wars or conflicts have muslims on one side or the other.
IMO, muslims are nice but the religion opens up for loco idiots as extremist leaders, who then supress the population by waging wars.

But if it taken more literally, then it is meant to be a religion of war and domination. It actively requests for its followers to (in very graphic detail) kill anyone who will not convert to Islam. This mindset is what allowed them to have an empire that contained most of the middle east, North Africa, and parts of Europe.

demandred (12/30/2015) [-] I believe you're wrong. Firstly, i know the scriptures about the future is pretty drastic (the trees & stones will get the ability to talk and say "here's a jew, come kill" etc) but the quaran also states to never kill and to only do good.
In short, Islam has more contradictions in its texts than christianity or other religions.
In the first few hundred pages, Mohammad says the jews are a friendly and nice people. Later, he says they're the scum of the earth.
I think terrorists and extremists rely more on scriptures outside quaran than in, thus making the religion only an excuse for their cause.

Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."

This is NOT the language of a peaceful religion. Unlike the passages of violence in the Old Testament, they are open ended. The passages in the Old Testament about enacting violence has context and has definite closure to the violence. The Quran just wants you to kill all who don't accept Allah and will go to war to prove it.

**** off retard, how many times do I have to tell retards like you that these verses were aimed at Muslims supporting them in war? and that these verses were later on forgotten and never ever proceeded because Prophet Muhammad said so? Same way Christians don't have to stone gays, could eat ham, don't have to wear clothes of one same fabric, etc, Jesus just came back and told them to only follow the 7 Commandments. Same way Muslims couldn't eat anything that swims in water after it dies, but then Prophet Muhammad just told them that they are allowed to eat anything that's even the size of a whale.
