Jordanian King Abdullah the second said that he would take serious actions if Israel continued expand the occupation of Israel into the Palestinian territories. Capable of defending themselves? Yes. The origins of a religion (aka how old it is) is not defined by the religion, it is defined by religious scholars who measure it from when the religion and the associated myths start to appear.
