oh god man are you saying it's a video clip over how hollywood movies show magazines for firearms or are you calling the magazine a clip im gunna ******* sperg out man why?
I only know general, random gun information so what is the difference between a magazine and a clip? Is a clip an exterior case for ammunition and a magazine slides into the gun? Is it just the physical design?
The best way to explain it is how user gggfrt did with the picture. A clip is essentially a piece of metal that has a ridge all around it except the bottom and is used to put more than one bullet in at a time into a fixed magazine. A fixed mag is just a magazine that doesn't detach from the gun. Can be used on most rifles with a fixed mag, except of course the m1 Garand. I'll assume you know that a mag is a piece of metal that has a spring mechanism that pushed ammo upward into the barrel. This is the only 2 ways that a gun can be loaded, except muzzle loaded weapons, which you push ammo down the barrel. The other exception is a revolver style loading, where you have a rotating chamber that holds anywhere from 3-8 bullets. Hope I helped. Also, if I have any information wrong, please correct me, I love to be corrected, as I get to learn something
