A small call for ideas for youtube ideas

This isnt a funny post but something more serious.Im a bit down on my luck recently and have been struggling IRL with getting a job and health issues. Ive always dreamed of getting into the video game making field and becoming an entertainer.Ive looked up to guys like game grumps,markiplier and sea nanners as a good source of laughs and smiles in my life.

I want to start making a youtube channel and do lets plays and try to get some income from that if possible to help buy food and pay bills and such so im coming to the site i love and visit daily.I want to ask you funnyjunk browsers,lurkers and anons for tips,advice and ideas for a youtube channel or even twitch.

here are some tips:
1. play unknown games. unless you are extremely entertaining to watch, or already have a gangrened fanbase, games no ones herd of could bring people in
2. try to get on to shows like vinesauce after you get 100- 250 subscribers. crossovers can help you a LOT.
3. remember, being a cunt is only ok if your a cunt 99% of the time.
4. if you are a cunt in 99% of your videos, the real messages you want to get across, without being a cunt, become a hundred times more powerful
5. DONT HAVE LIKE 8 PEOPLE ON ONE CHANNEL. IT BECOMES A *********** AND YOU END UP HAVING ONLY LIKE 1/4 OF THE SAY ON YOUR OWN ******* CHANNEL
6. one or two friends is fine, but do not let it get out of hands
7. the most cancerous fanbases get you the most views. i have 3 subs from voice acting 10 seconds worth of lines in an SU abridged seires. i have done literally nothing else on there that warrents subscribers
8. dont put in political messages. it ends up alienating half your fans, so unless your planning on being like sargon or some **** , where the people that watch come from your political channel, dont
9.no matter how much of a cunt you act like in your videos, never call out a specific person or group of people. theres being a fun cunt and an unfun cunt. learn the difference
10. never, under any circumstances, be mean to animals in the thing, or in real life for that matter. for reasoning see #9
11. DONUT do minecraft. that cancerous fan base is finally getting the chemo it deserves

Adding with No. 2 in mind: Meet people; network the **** out of people you meet.
Go to your local YouTube meetups, create some if there are none. Create interest, brand yourself, and understand how demographic dynamics work.

I met a small-time streamer through one of my friends when I announced my plans for YouTubing and started gathering a team (regarding No.6: I had everyone make their own channels, but make sure you keep everyone together and on the same page). This streamer knows a bigger streamer, who knows one of the top CSGO players in the world; so through one connection, I became two steps closer to a world-class gamer.

2 tips for you

youtube fame is random and hard to keep consistent so keep making videos even if they are getting no views, one video might just blow up out of nowhere and get insane likes

dont put those ads before the vids when you monetise them because they are annoying and most people will click on another video onm the side bar before they finish watching the advert.

as for ideas, someone else mentioned it but playing unheared of games can work for you in two ways



the first is that people will see it and be curious to what it is

the second is that if the game becomes viral, while other youtubers are making a video about it yours will already be uploaded and available to watch.



game mod reviews are also a good way to get views even if its just a couple.. the amount of times ive wanted to download a mod but dont know wether or not its worth it is unreal
