The reporter: ''Well this one is gonna be hard for you to imagine''

Is it wrong that I'm not surprised at all and that I don't find it hard to imagine
that a bunch of Dindus could actualy do something like this?
I don't know maybe I've become too cynical about Dindus..

It was not even flirting he made a silly passing comment after being dared that was a childish innocent flirt. And a bunch of thugs beat him to death.

Was as wrong back then as it is today, it's just that many people do not seem to realise it

I think fwp was just pointing out a pretty obvious fact: both races have been guilty of this, and to be fair, the reverse of it was happening for much longer. You saying that you don't find it hard to imagine a bunch of "Dindus" could do something like this, is a prejudiced, but it's only one correction away from being accurate: it's not hard to imagine a bunch of human beings could do something like this, since we've been doing it since we first hated someone that was different. A number of cultures have "Romeo & Juliet" stories about lovers from opposing groups being persecuted for their relationship.

Recent source is about five members of a white supremacist group called "Aryan Circle" firebombing the house of an interracial couple: www.justice.gov/opa/pr/arkansas-man-sentenced-his-role-firebombing-residence-interracial-couple

It ain't right what they did, and my best friend's mom grew up with part black and part white heritage so I know that the black community can often shun those people, but it's not just the black community, not by a long shot. Notice how a mixed skin person can say they're black, but would get funny looks if they say they're white? Even if they're on the lighter side of brown? In fact, the black community started accepting people with mixed heritage into their ranks long before the white community did. Just a thought.
