Hawaii is part of the U.S.A. right?
Also, PDA is very much legal in U.S.A. You can't legally arrest someone just because they are hugging and kissing in this country. If you could, my own parents would be in prison for many, many years.

No **** , try arguing that to a cop and see how far you get, my point is they didn't comply with police and that's why they got arrested, Its not a good thing but that's the reality. Watch any cop show there's always some idiot who argues with police and gets arrested when they could have just followed instruction and got off scot free. Going on holidays and not complying with the local police is a great way to get free accomodation at the police station.
