this is a good idea, especially since there seem to be so many idiots who don't teach their children how to appropriately approach dogs. I had one kid run up to my dog and start petting him randomly. The mom did nothing to stop the child and didn't seem to care. I actually chewed the mom out because "I know my dog is harmless and friendly, but you have no way of knowing! If this dog were nervous and jittery around kids, he could have easily bit your child! Next time think before you let your kid approach a strange dog!" She looked pissed, but embarassed. Hopefully she got the message.

Sometimes I want to grab certain parents by the shoulders and shake them like a maraca.
