Nah, it's called brooklyn because he released it on the left side of the lane and it crossed over to hit the other side of the headpin.
It's a weaker approach and is generally referred to as more of a "dirty" not like cheatsy dirty, but more like messy or just luck dirty strike when it's achieved since it's much less consistent than hitting the same side of the headpin that the ball is approaching from.
