And that title.

This reminds me of Dark Souls where they toss you into a open world and not tell you where to go ("oh the bells you need to ring are above and below"). Many deaths were made from spooky ghost and skeletons...

Wait I thought in that game we were playing as Zelda not link. "Link" looked hella feminine in the new trailer.

Its definitely Zelda.
My dad works at Nintendo

why the **** is no one asking why there's giant ass spider mechs with laser eyes and cyber-punkish transforming arrows in legend of zelda now instead of just questioning the dungeons?

it' prolly going to be minted, but i'm not getting a Wii for 1game... **** that.

it's not like there isn't any sweet games on PS4/PC (Division, Witcher 3, Destiny)

Super Smash Bros
Mario Kart
Pikmin
Zelda Hyrule Warriors
Super Mario 3D World
Zelda Wind Waker
Monster Hunter
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze

and that's not all of them

Don't tell me your only excuse is lack of games

What I get from how this game is described is it's going to be kinda like Skyrim where you can wander around, explore and do various missions in any order you like.

If it's how I'm imagining it, this is going to be the best Zelda game yet! As much as I liked Skyward Sword I'm so happy they're going in the opposite direction from it's linear story and gameplay.

I don't care what anyone says, I'll never regret buying a Wii U.

Now honestly I am confused as to how these dungeons are supposed to be played out.. if everything is open roam, then these dungeons must be extremely easy to not rely on any specific item like in all the previous Zelda games.

Kind of like the original LoZ where you don't necessarily need all the items, but it makes it a helluva lot easier if you go through in a order of some kind. Or maybe kind of like aLttP.

The idea is pretty neat. I wonder how well it would work out though. If the dungeons can be done in any order, then wouldn't they get progressively easier as you get new weapons and more hearts?
User avatar #11 to #7 - blopant (06/12/2014) [-]
Well Link between worlds sort of did this. but you also had access to almost every item right at the start so....

Nintendo continues to be the best video game company of all time. **** Sony and Microsoft. Oh and PC. Nintendo is the best.

I hate not knowing where to go in a game
so I hope it's open world and you can explore and get to places in different sort of ways and whatever....but I hope it isn't like "lol do whatever dungeon you find first"
I dont really see how that would work story wise either

>Carebears in EVE Online

Seriously, people who need content shoved in their face to start doing anything at all need to get a grip. Just look what happens when people make their own content - www.theepochtimes.com/n3/481779-eve-online-the-final-tally-of-the-bloodbath-battle-b-r5rb-commemoration-details/

A Link between Worlds was already kinda open world. Meaning you could choose the order of most dungeons.

YES, GET THE BANANA BITCH OR ILL KILL U!!!

It sounds kind of like it might be kind of like the first Zelda, in that you can wander almost anywhere, and can probably manage to do a few dungeons whether they are Dungeon #1 or not. However there will likely be some place you need a particular item before you can progress, or more hp before it is practical to kill enemies in that area. I am just making assumptions at this point, but that would make sense...
