I can imagine Fox sitting there, a satisfied grin on his face as he knows he's about to die for his country. He feels proud that his one and only death can be taken in such noble sacrifice. Meanwhile, the soldiers under his command look at him with a look as if to say, "The **** , dude?"

Maybe its ****** up to say this but I kinda wish war was still crazy like that. Both of my deployments were just boring long patrols followed by like 9 mins of frantic ******** and fire missions and then right back to the boring patrolling.

I'm sorry but I'd rather prefer if there not be another world war.

- Back on the battleship

"You hear what he said! Fire at will!"

This is a rather common tactic in war. That guy is most certainly not the only one who has done that.

"rather common tactic in war"

Calling an airstrike on yourself isn't a tactic, it isn't strategy, its pure balls of steel and an iron will to win at any cost. This man had brass balls the size of bowling balls, and his actions should be respected and honoured, and I say this as an English person who is no fan of the Americans.

It's not all that common either, or else soldiers wouldn't be called soldiers, they'd be called martyrs.

I'm not saying this angrily by the way, I just think its pretty stupid and disrespectful to say this is common, like this man's sacrifice wasn't important and didn't mean something to a lot of other people. such as the soldiers he saved, and those soldiers families, even if they don't realise it.
