only reason i hate going on 4chan is because it's been kidnapped by tumblrfags and edgy kids who heard about /b/ and decided to raid the site and stay there.
Now i wouldn't have a problem if they had stayed on /b/ but they didn't.
they spread across the whole site like wildfire leaving only the slow boards safe.
I come to this site now instead because it's considered old and all the little kids aren't interested in it.
I might just be getting old though

/tg/ is the best board, /k/ is good, /co/ is good, /aco/ is amazing, /fit/ is alright, /mu/ and /x/ are okay for *********** , /int/ is the physical manifestation of *********** .
Avoid/b/, it's boring and vanilla ever since edgy facebook normies turned it into /soc/ 2.0 with the occasional dox or scat/gore thread. /v/ is utter **** ; >60% of the threads are made by people who actually hate video games, and the cesspit of /pol/ frequently seeps in. /vg/ is even worse but for reasons of it's own. Avoid /pol/ like the plauge, they're literally everything rong with the zionist jews they want to gas but in a coat of red and black German paint and marinaded in a complete lack of self-awareness; they may have got Nostradomus trapped in a box, but it's not where you want to go for actual political discussion.
/trash/ is a better /b/ than /b/ ever was. It's only problem is that it's rife with furry/mlp porn threads. But so was /b/ back in it's days of festering adequacy.
Basically, you only think it's **** because the more popular boards ARE **** , as people are generally ****** and get ******** in numbers. The more niche boards actually have people that are tolerable because they like what the board was based around, and are passionate about it, Even if that board is based on being garbage.

its more normal to say how much you make each month, as taxes are monthly, and so are salaries. I just dont understand why they have the necesity to force you to divide salary/12 to know how much they earn.

There's always at least one board that is the hip newfagbait.. Originally /b/, then /v/. Now maybe /pol/ or /int/ but not even close to the same extent as the first two /v/ still probably holds that spot.
Then there are some boards that have always been very normalfag friendly, like most of the smaller hobby/interest boards like /ic/
/b/ has been changing into facebook tier ever since its peak around 2007 since all the newfags went there after all the attention it got. It hasn't been relevant to the rest of the site in many many many years.
If you want to talk about tumblrfags on 4chan then you should be talking about /co/, and maybe more recently /a/ (surprisingly, since it has for so long been pretty good about repelling newfags and tumblr, considering its size as the ~third biggest board). Nevertheless, relative to its size /a/ is still one of the better boards community wise.
Though it's true that the quality of the site is dropping over time, but it's still the only real option when it comes to English imageboards, other ones are literal graveyards. Even 8chan, which people for some ******* reason seem to overhype to no end, still clinging on to the false belief that most of 4chan migrated there, is ******* dead (and the format goes against everything that makes imageboards great from, lets say, reddit for example)

djmaryhikineet (01/08/2016) [-] but unlike 4chan were dieing faster as we are becoming less tolerant to content we dont like which is the main thing for the site, we also vocally hold on to grudges against those who we dont like which leads to alot of content being blocked which is nice for teh person but b/c they have teh option they get super toxic when they see something they don't like. a personal thing i do is to not block anything as then i see everything and not tumblr everything down to just what i like, i want to see all types of stuff so blocking just closes me in to one mind set

don't know if this will drown me in red thumbs or not but...4chan has some quality funny **** , but I don't like mining the garbage to find it. I don't like its layout or functionality, so when someone else digs the funny up and brings it here, I appreciate it. Keeping digging men, I appreciate the results.

FunnyJunk has always at least during my short....10 years here? wow a full decade huh... been a site full of reposts - a hodgepodge of content collected from all around the internet
and that, to me, is its beauty
a nice place to continuously press the right arrow key for as long as i want and be rewarded by a massive stream of random information from all over the place
