This is just stupid.
I've slaughtered pigs, chickens, ducks and rabbits, so I did kill my own food.
I've eaten steak tartare, beef carpaccio and my fiancee's mom makes amazing yuk hwe, so I've eaten raw meat.
But you know, I'll take this exact challenge, if a vegan takes this one:
Go to a field, find soy beans, pick them without help of any cutting tools, then eat them raw, without cooking or processing them in any way. Then tell me how delicious and natural that is.

Even though I agree with you, the raw meat dishes you listed are seasoned so those don't count.

Right, thats why we have canine teeth, who's only purpose is slicing through meat, because we're herbivores.
User avatar #194 to #109 - kinginyellow (05/03/2014) [-]
Actually that's a myth. Canines are for holding meat, not slicing it, but yes they're still part of a carnivore and omnivore. It's actually the jaw muscles that help the slicing of meat. You could take out most of a pit bull's teeth and it'd still rip skin off your arm.
User avatar #93 to #36 - daragon (05/03/2014) [-]
We're omnivores you numb skull.
#456 to #93 - trustust (05/04/2014) [-]
I find it disturbing that people really believe we are meant to be hervibores just because of a number of popular myths about vegetarianism that have no scientific basis in fact. One of them being that man is naturally a vegetarian because our bodies resemble plant eaters, not carnivores. When in fact like you said we are omnivores, capable of either eating meat or plant foods. It's like people forget this exists or something
#494 to #456 - rabidaardvark (05/04/2014) [-]
Hang on, how are our bodies like herbivores? we have binocular vision and depth perception, found almost exclusively in predators (cats, wolves, eagles, as opposed to sheep, cows and horses with eyes on the side of their heads for all around vision), we have meat cutting teeth and a digestive system that can process meat, hell our clocest living relatives, chimps, regularly eat meat as well as fruits. So in what way can these people claim we have the bodies of herbivores?
#495 to #494 - trustust (05/04/2014) [-]
They leave this facts out and only concentrate on our digestive system and stuff so it fits their needs
#496 to #495 - rabidaardvark (05/04/2014) [-]
You mean the digestive system equipped with all the enzymes and acids it needs to break down animal protein, which you obviously get lots of in plants? yeah that definitely proves their point.

Canines, Digestive acids found in our stomach only present in meat eating creatures, as well as brain function only found in predators disagrees with you. Face it. Humans are supposed to eat meat.

We can't be. We can't digest cellulose. Herbivores are classified as strictly plants, NOT fruits/veggies.

Used want Frugivore if you mean fruits/veggies/nuts. However, even then most Frugivore species will opportunistically eat meat. Even horses and cows will eat meat if you let them.

That's ******** . Horses won't eat meat if you let them. It's not like you can't let a cat hang out in the stables because horses will swallow him alive. Horses don't crave for meat. The only situation when horses might eat meat is because of starvation or malnutrition. Or because some ****** up ************* trained them to bite off humans' faces and eat them - true story, Zunghar people were doing that
#452 to #188 - softdoritocat (05/04/2014) [-]
To all you guys above... Hope you know what malnutrition is. I didn't say horses will NEVER eat meat, I said they MIGHT eat it in certain situations - lack of salt, protein, whatever. I worked in the stables for 3 years, they had about 50 horses, I've never see any of them eating meat. Stealing a burger seems more like gluttony rather than meat craving to me. It's like with cats eating grass - they supplement their diet. Some will eat grass regularly, some hardly ever and some never.

dude, even Deers eat birds because they need to
User avatar #221 to #188 - ironsoul (05/04/2014) [-]
You are incorrect sir! My ex had horses, and she would take them to competitions. They were beautifully cared for, given vitamin supplements, their hair was silkier and softer than mine is. I was eating a hamburger by their stalls and one bastard grabbed it right out of my hand. I'm lucky he didn't take the hand with it.
User avatar #208 to #188 - Icedangel ONLINE (05/03/2014) [-]
I've seen it. The horse stomped a coyote to death (we think), then bit off chunks and ate bits of it. It didn't eat EVERYTHING, of course, but it ate it (This part I saw).

Horses have also been known to eat ham. They wont go and hunt living things down, no, but they'll take a bite or two from dead things.

The **** are you talking about you imbecile. Let me put it short, Herbivore: planteater, Carnivore: meateater and Omnivore: Both of them combined. It's really easy to know the difference from them. We humans are omnivores, we have the ability to consume both plants and meat but some would like to only eat plants also maybe a few would only eat meat. Might be a troll, i don't give a **** . Let's play spot the vegan, not hard is it?
#76 to #46 - angelusprimus (05/03/2014) [-]
There are several cultures in the world that live on meat only or nearly meat only diet.
Under specific cirumstances its possible to survive that way, just like its possible to eat only vegetation.
But a balanced diet includes both vegetable and animal products.
User avatar #43 to #36 - riotshieldman (05/03/2014) [-]
enjoy dying from a lack of iron and protein you ******* herbivore
User avatar #40 to #36 - createdjustnow (05/03/2014) [-]
we have teeth for ripping and teeth for grinding. this is a sign of omnivorous capabilities. purely carnivorous animals have fangs which are meant for ripping, and herbivorous animals have teeth like our molars that are made for grinding the vegetation down. look in the mouth of a cow, then look in the mouth of a tiger. notice the difference then look at the mouth of a human and notice the similarities that humans share with both.
