Maybe it is a cultural thing, but where I am from, guys tend to like short girls, they appear more feminine or something. As a 5 ft 8 girl, I am not considered "cute". I am somewhat good looking and there are guys who goes for the taller girls, so it totally seem like it is an individual thing, but my impression is that the "norm" is short girls. If so, being short and cute don't know if she is good/cute looking for a girl is a plus, like being tall is a plus for men. I don't think it is double standards, it is probably some biology thing where being tall is a sign of a higher amount of testosterone. In any case, some (most) girls likes tall men, some (most) men like good looking women, both genders can be superficial about their preferences, and that can be a good thing, we are that way for a reason. Looks shouldn't be the only thing that matters, but it always matters a bit. Having standards is something young women are expected and supposed to have, and men are expected and supposed to live up to as many woman's standards they can. Of cause this is old biology that isn't fair in our society today, and it shouldn't rule the dating world, which I don't think it does. But the nature will show itself on occasion.

I think it's really cool that there is an entire generation of people who will believe anything you put on the internet. I mean, holy crap, this has to be legit, because, it's on the internet!
