What do we say to the god of death?

Not today.

You can say that's edgy, but there is truth to it.

The person you are and the life you lived are more important than the end you've met. The belief goes back centuries, all the way back to Socrates and probably earlier. If you think of death as just the curtain closing on a show, what would matter more? The length of the show, or the quality of it?

No man is an island,
Entire of itself,
Every man is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thy friend's
Or of thine own were:
Any man's death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind,
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee.

How is this edgy? It's a truth so big as a ************* trailer. There is a huge lot of people that just go through their lifes, not living really, only being spectators of their own existence.

It's always like "I have too much to worry about already" and then, suddenly one day, they are like "Dude, WTF happenned with my life, where did it go?"

“I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.”

"Death." Life said. "Why do my creatures love me, but hate you?"

Death tilted his head towards the young woman, his black shawl moving in the breeze. "Because you are a beautiful lie, and I am a painful truth."

I think that the problem with life is that when we die we won't care about anything... because we'll be dead. This scares me because it is like the universe just is and we were never supposed to be and oh my god I am trying to think of the ******* words but god damnit **** piss **** .

And furthermore,

When we die, so does the future that the rest of our life would have borne.
Everything we would have brought to the world, and the butterfly effects henceforth,
die with us.
And furthermore,

When we die, so does the future that the rest of our life would have borne.
Everything we would have brought to the world, and the butterfly effects henceforth,
die with us.
