I could go on but this year was VERY depressing for the masses that just want peace. So much stupidity this year really made me lose faith in humanity.

sweetsighlullaby (01/02/2016) [-] My Uncle Kent was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer on 12/31/15. He went into Cardiac arrest this morning, 1/1/16. We are taking him off life support tomorrow morning, 1/2/15. Happy New Year.

sweetsighlullaby (01/02/2016) [-] My uncle is a veteran and the VA kept jerking him around. He was admitted about a week ago with "double pneumonia" because he couldn't breathe and had to call 911 (this is not the first time he has had "pneumonia" this year, but it is the first time he went to a different hospital than the VA). It took them a week's worth of tests to figure out that he had had cancer for a long ass time and, when they started talking about options, he started having issues with breathing and his heart stopped. They shocked him to get him back and put him on life support until his heart arrhythmia went back to normal. His heart stopped a second time at 3:15 pm for several minutes before they got him back. At that point the doctors said he definitely had brain damage. His heart stopped again at 4 ish, but they got him back again. They told my Gramma (my uncle's mom and poa) that he had a very small possibility of coming through this and waking up again, and that if he did, he would practically be a vegetable because his brain had been denied oxygen for about 12 minutes between each episode.
TL;DR Cancer is slower than that, but when it's not diagnosed whatsoever, things go from bad to worse very quickly. I didn't even get to say a real goodbye to him... He was gone before I got there. He taught me how to fish and hunt, how to survive outside and how to survive this world with other people in it. He always told it to me straight and let me know when I was just fighting to fight.

It started well enough, and my uncle (who is schizephrenic) was also down there, but kept to himself for a bit. He decided the only girl there (who is a lesbian) was cute and tried to get her to sleep with him. He wouldn't take no for an answer, and we all made it clear that she didn't like men. It started getting worse, like he started touching her arms and feeling her hair. I went up to go to the bathroom and also grabbed a knife and put it in my pocket because I was very worried about her. (I'm a small dude. 5'6 and 130 lbs, he is about 5'10-11 and 220 lbs.) I wasn't planning on using it, I had other larger friends with me that would have also helped. I just kept it as reassurance and a last resort. He then out of nowhere started trying to pick a fight with my other friend for no reason. We were all being chill with him and showed no sign of aggression with him and he just entered attack mode for no reason. So my friends decided it was time to leave 2 hours after they arrived. My mom came down to see what was going on, he started yelling at her. My dad then heard the commotion and called the cops after he heard the story. My uncle was taken away and that was my night. Happy new year guys.
