it was a pretty well done movie, effects looked good, had a neat story, twist that was seen miles away but another one that catches you completely off guard right after, and basically dead space meets system shock 2, what more could you ask for? oh and norman reedus was in it for like 5 minutes

I guess this is as good a place as any to ask; for the life of me, I can't remember the name of a movie where this family moves to a farm or someplace like that, and the teen son befriends a local girl, but she's actually a ghost. And then he hangs himself to be with her as a ghost lover? I think that's how it went.

Warning: Rec is filmed in Spanish and has subtitles for English speakers.

There is a movie called Quarantine however, same basis, filmed in English. I believe Rec is said to be better however so you might just want to watch that and read subs.

well, that's your opinion, just like what i said is mine. but the movie didn't remotely come close to my expectations. i watched it with 10 people i know and all said the same. it was just so boring the first 4 chapters... but if you like it, that's good.
i don't want to talk it bad (although my opinion about it is bad), so maybe everyone should watch it themselves and make their own opinion.

from the beginning to chapter 5 it's just so boring to watch SPOILER
i mean he just talks to his wife and she just always goes crazy and ***** him. but that's not what i expect of the anticrist! come on, is he just a nympho?
and then finally the action starts and it is the epitome of gore imo! and that is great, but after that it just can't get any better, and it doesn't. just some weird stuff, she can see through the crows and so on =/

if i had to draw the suspense curve of that movie it goes like

i took a qt gril to see pandorum ... theres one scene in particular that will make even the most battle saged veteran of horror film jump out of their skin....my reaction was to violently flinch, gril's reaction was to vice-force grab and squeeze my arm, which scared me even more and i audibly yelped at like a bitch. she immediately let go and didnt touch me for the rest of the movie...we ****** later that night though

pfff that movie was ridiculous...i couldnt take it seriously, didnt finish it. pandorum felt to believable to me, was clinging to every scene wanting to know what happens next and thats how they got me. it wasnt an "im scarred for life" kind of feel...more like a "god damnit they got me" type thing

there was one part that made literally everyone in the theater jump, so guess youre wrong- a loud noise or something i cant remember. i agree it wasnt a particularly scary movie just kind of creepy, more interesting than anything. maybe youre thinking of another movie...im talking about the movie where the hyper evolution system onboard a starship turns the crew into a bunch of metal munching, fusion reactor cuddling freaks

There is nothing suspensul about "Inside" - the acting is over the top and some parts are so bad they are laughable. If I'm correct there was someone that was supposed to be dead (and blinded) and suddenly gets up screaming like a madman.

That's sad but the french new wave horror is borderline horrible.

High Tension or Haute Tension (2003)

French slasher horror with some really messed up scenes in it. not the worst, but it is one of the goreiest movies I've seen. first shot of the killer has him using a decapitated head to give himself a blowie joey
especially if you can get the uncensored version. they had to edit some scenes down for the american release so that it would fit under the "R" rating.
Bonus: has a terrific twist ending that I can't recommend enough. also i last saw this movie when i was around 16 so it might be absolute **** . who knows?
